Dean Kamen, the renowned inventor of the Segway and 'Luke Arm' gave a TED talk about the emotional journey that drives him to make more and more innovations. Kamen talks about some of the touching stories that led to some of the developments on his prosthetic 'Luke Arm' device.

For those of you wondering why it is called the 'Luke Arm', it references aftermath of the Star Wars (spoiler alert) battle between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker where Luke's arm is cutoff with a lightsaber. Below is a flashback of that scene, and some footage of the Kamen's prosthetic arm.
